DisneySea....

Friday morning we woke up and ate breakfast, which Kimie prepared for us. So far I have enjoyed most of the food I have tried here, but at breakfast we had some Japanese plumbs and I am not sure if I just did not expect the sourness, but they were a bit much.

This is a mixture of Korean, Chinese, and Japanese food ^^  Good breakfast!

After we finished eating, we got ready to leave for the day and boarded the train for DisneySea (we changed trains twice). The train took us to the Disney hotel where we caught the monorail that took us to DisneySea. The monorail has windows in the shape of Mickey Mouse, and the handles you can hang on to while standing are also Mickey Mouse shaped. On the ride over, we were able to view the official Disney Hotel.

DisneySea was celebrating their 10th year anniversary so it was really packed! When we first arrived the Mediterranean Harbor was hosting a “be magical” show where Mickey, Donald, and Goofy spoke in Japanese. I had to hand it to the people doing the voices because they sounded like the characters ^^

We went to go try to get on the Tower of Terror first, but the wait time was 200 minutes, so we decided to go see if one of the other rides had a shorter wait time. Tower of Terror had a special show going on, and 16 March was the last day for it, so we thought that might be why it was so crowded. They also were not allowing fast passes on it. We hoped that it would be less busy later in the evening.

We walked over to Indiana Jones: Temple of the Crystal Skull and retrieved a FastPass there (the wait was approximately 180 minutes), for which we could return between the hours of eight and nine. We tried Raging Spirits, but its wait time was 200 minutes, so we walked around the Arabian Coast for a little bit while trying to decide what to do.

We decided to get some churros at “Open Sesame” before going on any rides. We had to wait approximately 30 minutes in line. The churros were in the shape of Mickey Mouse. We sat down to enjoy them and talked about what ride we wanted to wait in line for (though we did not go check out Journey to the Center of the Earth, we thought that its wait time would be about the same).

After finishing our “lunch,” we decided to go over to Raging Spirits. The wait ended up being three hours and twenty minutes and every time we thought were getting close and that it would not actually be that long, we hit another corner to go around. Still, it was nice just having the time to talk. Funny though, because the ride itself only lasted about two minutes. It was a lot of fun (I was too tall for the ride and my knees were scrunched against the front of the car). The ride has a 360 degree loop.

If you look in the background, you can see the 360 degree loop ^^

After Raging Spirits we decided to go give Tower of Terror another try, but we passed by an information board that displayed its wait time at 300 minutes! No thank you =P We felt that three hours was one thing, but five was a completely different matter. Journey to the Center of the Earth was 240 minutes. Storm Rider and 20,000 Leagues under the Sea both had an hour for their wait times, so we went to Storm Rider. Before getting in line, however, we bought some Strawberry Popcorn, which was very tasty ^^

Kimie told me that it was too cold to be taking her "in line" picture....
StormRider ended up being one of those silly 4D-type things, without the 3D glasses. The seats moved and shook, and we were sprayed in the face with water, but otherwise not much happened. It was all in Japanese as well (except the introduction, which had a board that gave the English translation) so I inferred what was going on—not too difficult, lol. Afterwards, we felt cold and hungry so we went to get something to eat at a little deli in the park. Since it was American food, I did not take a picture. When we finished eating we still had about two hours left until our FastPass time for Indiana Jones, so we went back to the Tower of Terror to see what its wait time was. It had dropped to 180 minutes, which was still too long, unfortunately. We then went to check out Journey to the Center of the Earth, which had dropped to 140 minutes, but would be cutting it too close so we decided to go to 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea instead. I did not get any pictures of the attraction or Kimie waiting in line =( but we only waited for about an hour. The ride itself was a little silly but I still had fun.

We made it to Indiana Jones with five minutes to spare. Once we were able to go in, we walked all the way up to the point where the standby and FastPass lines met and merged. As we got there, a man came over the loud speaker saying that the ride would be placed on hold for ten to fifteen minutes while they checked something on the track. Still, the overall wait was approximately 20 minutes, and the ride about five. It was a lot of fun, very similar to the Indiana Jones ride at DisneyLand, California. I am not going to post the picture the ride took because I look really funny =P

We made it off the ride with barely enough time to make it back to Mediterranean Harbor for the fireworks show, and we had to run. I thought Tahoe had gotten bad.... the show lasted maybe five minutes. Afterwards we went shopping so Kimie could pick up some omiyage (souvenirs; in Japanese culture you pick up omiyage for co-workers and family when you go somewhere). The stores were so crowded I was reminded of why I do not go shopping on Black Friday =P

After that, we headed to our hotel in Tokyo. They provided us with pajamas in addition to the normal shampoo, conditioner, toothbrush and toothpaste, soap, razor, etc. We were both pretty exhausted from standing around all day, so we went to sleep quickly.
