The volunteer group that sang before the movie premiered. They had speeches from her family, one of her students, and a couple other people as well.
Sunday, 10 March, I picked Tati up and we went to go see the premier of the documentary "Live Your Dream: the Taylor Anderson Story."
It is about the ALT who died in the disaster two years ago. She had always wanted to come to Japan, to live here, and she worked hard to make that dream come true. She was a JET ALT, and had been thinking about going back to the States to continue on in graduate school when the Great East Japan Earthquake hit. She had stayed behind with some of her students, whose families couldn't come pick them up from school. When they were relocated a few days later to the nearby junior high school, Taylor started to make her way back to her apartment, and that was the last anyone saw of her.
It is a really inspiring but also really depressing story. I don't know when it will be available to view, but I do suggest that people watch it.
